Did anyone get a Christmas present that they didn’t want or like? Well the online advice is instead of banishing them to the back of a cupboard, you can get rid of them without causing offence by either re-gifting (but remember to hide the evidence i.e. remove tags!), or reselling, or donating to a charity shop. Whichever way we look at it we are rejecting the gift!
God’s gift of eternal life through faith in His one and only Son is rejected by many because they don’t want it. Some believe that it’s only available through good works, but a gift is not something we earn… “it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
God gives us the greatest gift we can ever have – don’t reject it.
